The Infant Driven Feeding® (IDF™) Program provides a solution to advance neonatal oral feeding practice. With IDF™, those educated will be prepared to provide neurodevelopmental, family-centered care with increased understanding of foundational knowledge of infant feeding skills. This 4-hour program provides training via modules that guide the participant from strategies of preparing the infant to oral feeding. The focus of this training program includes recognition of feeding readiness and signs of stress that terminate the feeding, with objective scoring measures that enhance consistency in care during feeding. Focus also includes a multidisciplinary approach and inclusion of the family. Target audience includes MD, OT, SLP, PT, RN, LC, and other neonatal professionals.
