Overview
This one-hour intermediate-level webinar presented key findings from a recent research study examining the implementation and long-term sustainability of the Infant-Driven Feeding® Program in the NICU. Participants explored how evidence-based outcomes— including gains in breastfeeding success, improved feeding consistency, and enhanced family engagement—can drive meaningful buy-in among practitioners and staff. The session highlighted real parent perspectives gathered during the study, offering insight into how the IDF™ Program shaped their NICU experience and transition home.
Learning Outcomes
- Learners will analyze at least two evidence-based benefits of implementing the Infant-Driven Feeding® (IDF™) Program within a hospital unit.
- Learners will apply at least one strategy to sustain practice change utilizing strategies from the IDF™ Program within a hospital unit.
- Learners will integrate at least one parent perspective into an approach that enhances family-centered feeding practices in the NICU and supports provider buy-in.
