This webinar provides foundational education for neonatal practice professionals and feeding specialists through the review of the incidence and most current evidence on the management of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). The focus will be on assisting clinicians and unit teams to consider the symptoms of NAS and their impact on an infants’ oral feeding skill development during breast and bottle feeding. Emphasis will be on using individualized, family-centered care plans to provide continuous, developmentally-supportive care from admission through discharge to reduce the risk of adverse sequelae secondary to NAS.
